Movie Collector's catalog is built by collectors, not scraped. The first 100 people who get 25+ verified releases on the platform claim a permanent Founding Contributor seat — lifetime Pro, plus a permanent badge on their profile and on every release they founded.
Mechanical, not arbitrary. The system verifies automatically using barcode validation and external database matching — nobody clicks "approve."
Top of your Library screen. Or use the direct link below to skip a step. Pick the movie this disc is for (search by title).
Scan the UPC barcode on your disc or type it manually. The system validates the checksum and matches it against external product databases automatically.
UPC checksum is math-verified. The barcode is cross-checked against Wikidata, Go-UPC, and UPCItemDB. Title and format are matched against TMDB. Releases auto-verify when the trust score crosses the threshold.
The moment your 25th release auto-verifies, the system claims the next available seat for you. Your profile shows "Founder #N" forever, and every release you founded carries your authorship credit permanently.
One seat, a badge on your profile, and your name on every release you founded. It does not expire when a subscription lapses.
Submit a release with a barcode. The system verifies it automatically. Repeat until you cross 25 verified. No photos needed.
